A children’s charity is calling on people in Cumbria to give up some of their time to help out at a fundraising event in the Lake District in May.
The NSPCC is looking for 30 volunteers to staff its Lake District HACK (Hike Against Cruelty to Kids) on Sunday 27 May.
More than 100 participants have already signed up to take on the 20 mile challenge walk, which starts and finishes in Pooley Bridge. The charity now needs enthusiastic volunteers to help make the event a memorable experience for the walkers.
“Helping out can be a very fulfilling experience and there are lots of different roles available. Best of all, you’ll be helping to raise money to fund our work with vulnerable children, young people and families across Cumbria and the rest of the UK.”
People can find out more about volunteering roles by contacting the Cumbria NSPCC fundraising office on 07976065305 or email lakedistricthack@nspcc.org.uk or apply online CLICK HERE
